Kevin McMahon serves the Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer program as a Senior Program Advisor.

The father of head coach Brian McMahon, “Papa Mac” has been coaching since 1980.

In his role as the Palm Beach Atlantic Senior Advisor he will be helping Coach Mac in many aspects of the program, including player development and community relationship building.

The elder McMahon founded two club soccer teams in his hometown of Mansfield, Ohio, during the 1980’s. His club record as the coach of Mansfield Liederkranz over a span of 10 years (1983-1993) was 106 wins, 9 losses, and 6 draws.

Kevin was also a varsity and junior varsity coach at Mansfield Christian High School from 1991-94, the Senior Advisor at Greenville College from 2000-2011, and the Senior Advisor at Belhaven University from 2011-13.

McMahon is retired from Ideal Electric Company in Mansfield, Ohio after 35 years in the field. He is also a licensed professional Santa Claus and serves the community as Santa in various hospitals, charities, church events, private parties, and parades. He is married to wife Diane and has four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Abby, Keegan, and Ally Parker.



Rodrigo Suarez began his tenure with the Sailfish men’s soccer team in 2014 as an assistant coach while pursuing his master’s degree at the University.

Coach Suarez assists head coach Brian McMahon with the daily operations of the program including practice sessions, travel, scouting, recruiting and other duties as assigned.

Suarez comes to Palm Beach Atlantic from Belhaven (Miss.) University where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry while performing as a member of the Blazers men’s soccer team for two seasons. During this time he was a member of the 2012 NAIA National championship team at Belhaven while making his mark as an All-Conference center-back a year later as a senior.

In his two campaigns with BU Suarez played in 41 matches while settling in as a team leader.

He also excelled in the classroom as evidenced by him being named a NAIA Scholar-Athlete in addition to being selected as an All-Conference honoree by the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) in 2013.

A native of Carlos Paz, Argentina, Suarez attended Tyler (Texas) Junior College prior to his time at Belhaven and will be pursuing his master’s in business administration (MBA) at PBA.



Eduardo Cruz is native from São Paulo, Brazil. He came to the United States in 2010 and played in college for four years. Two years at Ashford University and two at Belhaven University in Mississippi.

He majored in Sports Administration with a minor in Sports Medicine and Coaching. As a player, he also had the opportunity and privilege to win an NAIA National Championship in 2012. He was also nominated for the All-American, All-Region and All-Conference in 2013. In Mississippi, he had the opportunity to coach club soccer at Mississippi Flood and Mississippi Brilla. He has coached boys and girls ranging from U11 to U18.

Eduardo’s dream is to coach soccer at the highest level.
